Registered Massage Therapist | Namao
Sarah Lynn Chernik graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy (2200-hour program) and is a member of CMMOTA (Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association). These achievements are in addition to her Bachelors of Archeology and Bachelors of Commerce (Human Resources) degrees from the University of Calgary.

After working for many years in the Labour Relations field, Sarah decided to return to school to explore the path of Massage therapy. During her schooling, she enjoyed learning about a variety of approaches and techniques, including Swedish, therapeutic/ deep tissue, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage for edema for the limbs neck and face, non-Swedish, trigger point, joint play, basic pre-natal, sports massage, chair massage and hydrotherapy. Her schooling gave her a strong foundation in knowledge of anatomy and pathology in addition to tools and techniques that can be applied to relaxation and therapeutic/ deep tissue massages, enabling her to customize each session to her client’s needs. During the last two years, she has had the opportunity to work with a variety of therapeutic conditions, including carpal tunnel, whiplash and fibromyalgia. Since graduation, she has already begun to explore continuing education, including coursework in Visceral Massage and Jade Stone Massage.

Sarah takes pride in being an inclusive and body positive RMT, and strongly believes in a wholistic approach to health. She strives to create a respectful massage experience where the therapist and client work together towards achieving the client’s therapeutic or relaxation goals.

Sarah has been active all her life, including hobbies of basketball and fencing in her youth and a life-long passion for dance. A true geek at heart, Sarah also enjoys the creative challenge of cosplay (costuming for fun).
