Jey received his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 1998 from TN Dr. MGR Medical University, India and completed his Masters Degree in Physiotherapy at Jamia Hamdard University, India in 2004. He taught at various universities and worked with patients in India for few years before moving to the UK where he thrived on to complete his PhD at Brunel University, UK in 2013. He continued his clinical practice during and after his PhD at the major National Health Care and private hospitals in the UK for seven years.

Recently he completed his post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Alberta and continues to instruct physiotherapy students. He has vast experience in treating patients with a range of neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiopulmonary conditions. Having a strong research background, he applies evidence-based practice in all areas of patient care. Jey is specialized in exercise training and systematic conditioning for chronic diseases.

Jey has published his academic works in a number of scientific journals. In his pursuit of continued professional development, he has completed various clinical practice courses such as Fitness for Work, Gait Analysis, Acupuncture and Manual Therapy in the UK and currently working on updating them with advanced courses in Canada. Jey is also fluent in Tamil and Hindi for patients who feel more comfortable speaking those languages.

Jey enjoys playing badminton and swimming in his leisure times.
