Florence graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Physiology. Since graduating from physical therapy, she has pursued a variety of post graduate courses to enhance her practice. She has completed the Certificate Program in Medical Acupuncture (University of Alberta), and the Level 3 components of the Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic and Manual Manipulative Physiotherapy (Canadian Physiotherapy Association).

Florence has also completed courses in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (The Robin McKenzie Institute Canada), upper quadrant procedures in the Mulligan Concept, and the Sahrmann program of Diagnosis and Treatment of Movement System Impairment Syndromes (Canadian Physiotherapy Association).

During her career, Florence has practiced in different clinical settings (work conditioning centre and interdisciplinary team). In addition to physical therapy, Florence also practices acupuncture part time in a private medical acupuncture clinic. Her areas of special interest are in acupuncture and chronic pain. Florence is a valued member of Innovation Physical Therapy's South Edmonton physiotherapy clinic.
