Amy is a dedicated and technically skilled business professional with a versatile accounting, and office skill set developed through experience with full-cycle payroll and bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and office management.

She is a leader in our industry with 15+ years in office and accounting management, financial administration, and bookkeeping. In addition, Amy brings a wealth of experience from the healthcare, cattle, and oil and gas industries. She is pleased to bring her leadership and expertise to Innovation Physical Therapy.

In her spare time, Amy is passionate about her work with animal rescue.

Jey Radhakrishnan

Jey Radhakrishnan

Physical Therapist

Jey received his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 1998 from TN Dr. MGR Medical University, India and completed his Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy at Jamia Hamdard University, India, in 2004. He taught at various universities and worked with patients in India for a few years before moving to the UK, where he thrived on completing his Ph.D. at Brunel University, the UK, in 2013. He continued his clinical practice during and after his Ph.D. at the major National Health Care and private hospitals in the UK.

Recently he completed his post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Alberta and continues to instruct physiotherapy students. He has vast experience in treating patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiopulmonary conditions. He applies evidence-based practice in all patient care areas with a solid research background. Jey is specialized in exercise training and systematic conditioning for chronic diseases.

Jey has published his academic works in several scientific journals. In his pursuit of continued professional development, he has completed various clinical practice courses such as Fitness for Work, Gait Analysis, Acupuncture and Manual Therapy in the UK. He is currently working on updating them with advanced courses in Canada. Jey is also fluent in Tamil and Hindi for patients who feel more comfortable speaking those languages.

Jey enjoys playing badminton and swimming in his leisure time.

Lauren is a Student Massage Therapist who is currently still attending MaKami College, finishing her 3000-hour Advanced Clinical Massage Program. She has learned several techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue and myofascial cupping, trigger point therapy, lymph massage, etc. She has also learned several spa treatments as well.

Lauren is passionate about treating clients therapeutically to help them achieve optimum health and is also a member of the CRMTA (Certified Registered Massage Therapist Association).

Registered Dietitian

Murphy graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science. She completed her Integrated Dietetic Internship through the University of Alberta to become a Registered Dietitian. Over the past five years, she has gained extensive experience counselling patients with various health concerns and goals.

Murphy is passionate about creating healthy relationships with food, tailoring her approach to each patient’s specific needs, and helping patients develop healthy, sustainable habits that don’t take the enjoyment out of eating.

Murphy is a self-proclaimed “foodie” who loves cooking and travelling to new places to try different cuisines! She is also a member of the College of Dietitians of Alberta.

Nelson Wong

Manual Physical Therapist

Nelson graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. In his pursuit of advancing his skills in physical therapy, he has completed his medical acupuncture diploma and Diagnostic Imaging certification at the University of Alberta. Furthermore, Nelson has completed extensive manual therapy training through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Nelson has practiced in private practice for nearly 20 years treating various musculoskeletal injuries. He has a strong interest in manual therapy for the rehabilitation of injuries.

Nelson is registered with the College for spinal manipulation, needling and ordering diagnostic exams ( x-rays, MRIs, etc.).

Sarah Lynn Chernik

Sarah Lynn Chernik graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy (2200-hour program) and is a member of CMMOTA (Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association). These achievements are in addition to her Bachelors of Archeology and Bachelors of Commerce (Human Resources) degrees from the University of Calgary.

After working for many years in the Labour Relations field, Sarah decided to return to school to explore the path of Massage therapy. During her schooling, she enjoyed learning about a variety of approaches and techniques, including Swedish, therapeutic/ deep tissue, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage for edema for the limbs, neck and face, non-Swedish, trigger point, joint play, basic prenatal, sports massage, chair massage and hydrotherapy. Her schooling gave her a strong foundation in knowledge of anatomy and pathology and tools and techniques that can be applied to relaxation and therapeutic/ deep tissue massages, enabling her to customize each session to her client’s needs. During the last two years, she has had the opportunity to work with various therapeutic conditions, including carpal tunnel, whiplash and fibromyalgia. Since graduation, she has already begun to explore continuing education, including coursework in Visceral Massage and Jade Stone Massage.

Sarah takes pride in being an inclusive and body-positive RMT and strongly believes in a holistic approach to health. She strives to create a respectful massage experience where the therapist and client work together towards achieving the client’s therapeutic or relaxation goals.

Sarah has been active all her life, including hobbies of basketball and fencing in her youth and a life-long passion for dance. A true geek at heart, Sarah also enjoys the creative challenge of cosplay (costuming for fun).

Sharanjeet (Sharan) Sharma

Physical Therapist, Women’s Health, Concussion and Vestibular Management

Sharanjeet completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy and then continued her education with a Master’s in Neuro-Rehabilitation Physical Therapy. She has over 15 yrs of experience in treating orthopedic, sports injuries and neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. Sharan completed her Fellowship in 2014 in Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation with out-patient SCI evaluation & rehabilitation. She has continued expanding her knowledge base by completing Certification in Neurodynamic and Neurodevelopment techniques with pediatric and stroke patients.

She is a concussion-certified therapist interested in treating and managing mild traumatic brain injury following head trauma. She is skilled and certified in IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) to add mechanical advantage in improving range of motion, strength and pain perception following the breakdown of scar tissue, adhesions and fascial restrictions.

Sharan is also a certified Mulligan Practitioner. Sharan is passionate about working with patients of all ages and backgrounds who suffer from TMJ pain, chronic headaches/migraines, spinal disorders, athletic injuries, pre and post-surgery rehabilitation. She is certified in Vestibular rehabilitation and GLA:D program in Canada for Osteoarthritis.

Sharan is practicing as a certified Pelvic floor physiotherapist (PFPT) specializing in the internal and external assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor muscles. You may benefit from pelvic floor physiotherapy if you have any pelvic floor dysfunction. She strongly believes in the clinic’s philosophy to empower through patient-centred care, education and exercise programs to help clients to gain enough skills to continue with rehabilitation journeys independently.

Sharan enjoys various outdoor activities with her family and friends her life outside the clinic.
